Connection Problems
Use this page when AnalytAI cannot reach your data source, a sync tab shows a connection failure, or the app says a VPN-backed source is unavailable.
Start with the basics
Section titled “Start with the basics”- Confirm the correct organization is selected.
- Confirm you are working in the correct project.
- Re-check the host, port, username, and database details you entered during setup.
- If the source is private or local, confirm you are using the VPN workflow instead of exposing it directly to the public internet.
If a direct database connection fails
Section titled “If a direct database connection fails”- verify the host and port are correct
- verify the database user still has read access
- confirm the database is reachable from the network where AnalytAI is expected to connect
- if the database is local or office-hosted, switch to the VPN-based setup in Secure Bridge (VPN)
If a VPN-backed source is unavailable
Section titled “If a VPN-backed source is unavailable”- open Organization > VPN
- confirm the header shows VPN Server Online
- confirm the organization mesh has been initialized
- confirm the required device is listed under Connected Devices
- if the database port is private, confirm that port was granted for the device
If File Sync or Tally Sync is failing
Section titled “If File Sync or Tally Sync is failing”- open the project’s File Sync or Tally Sync tab
- review the status message shown on the page
- for Tally, verify the host, port, and application availability first
- for file sync, verify that the source files or folders are still available where the connector expects them
When to retry
Section titled “When to retry”Retry after you change the connection details, restart the local service, or reconnect the VPN device. If the same error returns immediately, treat it as a setup issue rather than a temporary outage.
