AI Chat
AI Chat is the main place where users explore project data in AnalytAI.
What you can do in chat
Section titled “What you can do in chat”- ask business questions in plain language instead of writing SQL
- refine the answer with follow-up questions in the same conversation
- inspect tables, charts, and narrative explanations together
- add useful outputs to dashboards
- create recurring reporting workflows from a chat result
Start a useful chat session
Section titled “Start a useful chat session”- Open the project you want to analyze.
- Go to Chat.
- Ask a clear question tied to a business metric, trend, segment, or time period.
- Review the explanation, chart, and table before asking the next question.
Examples of good prompts:
- “Show monthly revenue for the last 12 months.”
- “Which customers contributed the most revenue last quarter?”
- “Compare this month’s signups with last month and explain the change.”
How to get better answers
Section titled “How to get better answers”- make sure project setup and onboarding reflect the real business context
- review relationships if the AI struggles to connect tables correctly
- check memories when context seems inconsistent across projects or users
- use follow-up prompts instead of starting over when you want to drill deeper
Turn chat into ongoing output
Section titled “Turn chat into ongoing output”When a result is worth keeping, you can continue from chat into other product surfaces:
- add charts or data views to a dashboard
- create a scheduled workflow that appears in Reports
- export a generated report later from the workflow detail view
